Privacy Policy — Rapid Nursing Review
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Rapid Nursing Review ("the app") is a study app for nursing students preparing for the NCLEX-RN. It is based on the book Rapid Nursing Review: All Body Systems at a Glance by Alex K. Korir, MSN, RN, CCRN-CMC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information. It applies to the Rapid Nursing Review app for iPhone and iPad (Apple's App Store) and for Android phones and tablets (Google Play), and to the Rapid Nursing Review web app at nclexrapidnursingreview.com/app for Pro subscribers.
The short version
- No account is needed. Without one, your study data stays on your device.
- Signing in with Apple is optional (iPhone and iPad). It syncs your progress between your iPhone and the web app.
- On Android there is no account: everything stays on your phone.
- No advertising, no tracking and no selling of data.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details.
What stays on your device
Unless you sign in (see below), your study data is stored only on your device: your answers and scores, study sessions, bookmarks, study plan, the color theme you pick, your study reminder settings, notes on questions you report, and the first name you choose to enter. It is not sent to us or anyone else.
You can export a copy from Settings → Export, and you can delete it at any time with Settings → Reset data or by deleting the app.
Optional account: Sign in with Apple (sync and web access)
You can choose to sign in with Apple in Settings → Sync and web access. Everything in the app works without it. If you sign in:
- What we receive from Apple: a user ID for this app, and the email address Apple shares with us. That can be your real email or a private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email". Apple may also share your name the first time; the app doesn't store it on our server.
- What we store: your account (user ID and email or relay address) and a copy of your study progress (answers and scores, sessions, bookmarks, study plan, reminder settings and the first name you entered), so the iPhone app and the web app show the same progress. Question reports you send are stored with your account so we can fix the content.
- Where: with Supabase, our database and sign-in provider (servers in the United States). Each account can read and change only its own data. Supabase's privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
- Subscription check: the app links your purchases in RevenueCat to your account ID, so the web app can confirm that you have Rapid Nursing Review Pro. The web app never sells anything; Pro is bought only in the app, through the App Store or Google Play.
- The book on the web: to protect the author's work, the server records which book pages each account opens and when, and limits how many pages can be opened per hour and per day. Pages shown on the web carry your account name or email as a watermark.
- Delete your account at any time in Settings → Sync and web access → Delete account, in the iPhone app or on the web. This permanently deletes the account, your synced progress, your Pro-access record and your book-page log. Question reports are kept without any link to you so content fixes still happen. Deleting the account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it in your Apple ID settings or the Google Play app. Signing out keeps your progress on the device and stops syncing.
We use this information only to provide sync, the web app and support. We don't use it for advertising or tracking, and we don't sell or share it.
Study reminders and calendar (optional)
If you turn on a study reminder, the app asks for permission to send notifications and schedules them on your device; no reminder data leaves your device. If you tap Add to My Calendar, the app opens your device's own New Event screen with your study event filled in; you choose whether to save it and to which calendar. The app never reads your calendar. On Android you can also open Google Calendar with the event filled in; Google's privacy policy applies there.
Purchases (Rapid Nursing Review Pro)
If you buy Rapid Nursing Review Pro, the payment is handled by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play, under that store's terms. We never receive your name, email address, Apple ID, Google account or payment details.
To check whether you have Pro and to restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID created on your device (or, if you sign in with Apple, your account ID), your purchase history for this app, and basic technical information (such as the app version, device model, operating system version and store country). It uses this only to provide, verify and restore your purchases. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Android (Google Play)
The Android app works without an account; sign-in and sync are not available on Android yet, so your study data stays on your phone. When you buy Pro on Android, Google handles the payment through Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy); we receive only what RevenueCat needs to confirm the purchase, as described above. The Android app doesn't use the advertising ID, and it doesn't ask for access to your photos, files, camera, microphone, contacts or calendar. To delete the study data on an Android phone, use Settings → Reset data or uninstall the app. Subscriptions are managed and canceled in the Google Play app (profile icon → Payments & subscriptions).
What we don't do
- We don't show ads or use advertising or tracking software.
- We don't use analytics that identify you.
- We don't sell, rent or share your personal information.
- We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or health data.
- On iPhone and Android, screenshots and screen recordings are turned off only while a book page is on screen, to protect the book. The app doesn't see or keep anything about this.
Links to other websites
Question explanations list sources (for example nursing textbooks, CDC and NCSBN pages). Opening one takes you to that website, which has its own privacy policy.
Children
The app is intended for adult nursing students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices and rights
Without an account we don't hold your study data: you control it on your device (export it, reset it or delete the app). With an account, you can delete it and everything synced with it from Settings at any time. For anything related to your purchase records, you can contact us (below), Apple or Google directly. Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK or California), you may have rights to access or delete personal information; contact us and we will help.
Educational use
The app is for education and exam preparation only. It is not medical advice, and scores do not predict exam results.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
